The star of this short music video is young Mielle. She is vivacious and carries a mischievous smile. I suspect she has far more latent musical talent than her grandfather Rick Scott, who is really a showman in the grand over-the-top style of Liberace, except that Rick’s instrument is the dulcimer.

I found the actual song patronising, being born out of guilt at his lack of understanding when discovering that his granddaughter had Downs Syndrome. His reactions are recorded in a short talk before the music.

Personally I found the song a bit tasteless, but the film of Mielle enjoying herself is wonderful.
