NEW HOPE INTERNATIONAL.
Policy on e-mail submissions.
At the present time we are not prepared to accept unsolicited submissions by e-mail.
Reasons

- We
do not in general make instant decisions about poetry submitted
(though of course obvious rubbish doesn't need reading twice!)
- We do not want our mailbox to fill up with submissions which we will
need to print out before we can read them.
- We normally consider work for publication well
away from the computer and will likely put work to one side for a second reading days or
weeks later in order to ensure that the work stands up to a second reading after time.
-
When accepting work, we normally send out a proof copy for correction. Although accepted work
is kept on computer file, when compiling the magazine, it is far easier to sort the original
paper MSS (or the returned proofs) into order in the first instance.
- When we have accepted
work it is quite alright to send biographical material or
accompanying artwork by e-mail.
- We are happy to accept
general enquiries by e-mail and to send out guidelines,
but E-MAIL submissions are, at least for now, a big
NO NO
