Haiku Scotland #1

This Sunrise issue as it is labelled presents an interesting selection of haiku and other short poetry. Editor Frazer Henderson has a series that starts

	to the city zoo
	a primary school outing
	     — two by two by two
and ends
	with pouched purchases
	     leaving the zoo shop
	time to hop off home
Frazer is also credited with
	railway announcer's
	well-practised hesitation
	— the next train's.....delayed
yet it is the contributor's note for john millar that reads
once lived in California but moved to Falkirk to reduce the time commuting. He writes haiku on the back of tickets when waiting for delayed trains. He is writing more than ever.
and it is pretty obvious that several of the contributors are pseudonyms. Henderson isn't the first editor whose inaugural issue was littered with his own work disguised by pen-names. But this is a rich feast and one hopes he will attract more contributors for future issues.
