A magazine divided fairly evenly in terms of allotted space between poems and prose pieces. There are about 40 poems of varying quality, with fine work by Dr. C.L. Khatri, Sayad Hasmat Jalal and Giovanni Malito. PALEOLOGY, by the latter, is an example of the excellent work he has produced: Milling about the streets of Paris trying hard to not look the tourist a woman snapped a picture of me. I smiled and then watched her recede into a crowd never to be seen again let alone that shot she took of me. Memories of that day steadily fade but she can still see the me I used to be, a someone that I no longer know.Amongst the prose pieces there are a number of enthusiastic if rather raw stories, and also a translation of an interesting and engaging fable from the Finnish writer, Zacharias Topelius. This issue rounds off with a couple of religious/spiritual pieces and some reviews. | ||
