POMEZIA-NOTIZIE has been around for about eight years and has been recognised as the best News Magazine for 1999 by the International Writers Association (U.S.A.). Unfortunately for most of you reading this, POMEZIA-NOTIZIE is completely written in Italian. For those who can read Italian, although notizie does mean news in English, this publication is much more accurately described as a literary review. It is filled with accessible articles that approach the scholarly in style. There are reviews of books, comments on writers and bits of introspective prose. All the authors are Italian although this particular issue contains a relatively large amount of writing about and/or by Peter Russell, a long time resident in Italy and one of the last Modernists. The issue is rounded off with three pages of free verse poetry, again, all by Italians. | ||
