Sojourners Magazine Vol.31 #3

The policy of this publication is:

There is a place rooted in the teachings of Jesus committed to social justice filled with stories of hope where all are welcome.
68pp, an attractively-produced magazine which features interesting articles on global religion and current affairs. In it there are stark reminders. For example, did you know that during this year alone an estimated 50 million people will die of preventable disease or malnutrition?

Included also is an article on the Pura Vida Coffee Co. in Seattle. A "partnership" has been established and together they now produce "Sojo Blend".

Another article features

efforts to make the church green.
One of my favourite pieces was entitled ANYTHING BUT THE GRRRL, an interview with Ani DiFranco, the pioneer of Righteous Babe Records and one of VHI's "100 Greatest Women of Rock and Roll".

Another high point is the beautifully illustrated poem entitled, ON THE ROAD TO EMMAUS, written by Rose Marie Berger, assistant editor of Sojourners.

For those especially interested in the Bible, there is a Sunday to Sunday Bible study section, taking the reader right through to the end of June.

This is a fascinating magazine. The advertisements themselves are very educational. It is incredible what is going on out there.
