weekend blizzard
on the T.V. show
a Hawaian holiday

old bird bath
now full of ivy
the bird song missed

after lights out
the silent barracks
only the cicadas

sudden blackout
so many fireflies
in the garden

on the afterdeck
in the lantern glow
— lunar eclipse

baby squirrels
found nestling
in the missing socks
